Carolina Bandinelli. Born in Florence. Based in London, South East. Love to read, love (and hate) to write. I write, think and speak for work– which is really good considering how bad I am at doing almost everything else (but I can cook). Got a title: PhD. Got a job: Associate Professor in Media and Creative Industries at the University of Warwick (took a while to land a good job). Got a cat – Cucci, one that is quirky enough and that I love dearly. Most of my writing explores love, sex, gender and subjectivity. I move between fiction and non-fiction, English and Italian, scholarly and popular writing. I get lost. In the summer I like being on the beach, although I get that mountain may be more sophisticated. I teach digital culture to an international crowd of students and make my own cappuccino.
